It all started when…

It became apparent how important training was within Early Years. The need became more noticeable when funding stopped for free training and we had to source our own to expand our staff’s knowledge.

My Background

Since 1987 I have been working with children or with people who work with children. I have a wide range of experience from a Research Nursery Nurse at the local hospital through to being a Group manager for a number of nurseries in the Hampshire area.

I gained my Early Years Professional Status in 2008 at Winchester University and have since qualified as an Assessor and Internal Verifier for Early Years. I am a qualified teacher in Early Years and lecturer for the Foundation Degree. I am trained as a Safeguarding instructor and have been a Freelance Inspector in Early Years. I feel the range of experience I have enables me to give advice and consultation to people who work in Early Years.

Children are an important part of our lives and society. We need to show we are making an IMPACT and this is where we can help you. Staff and your team are an important part of their lives.

My passion is to support nurseries and childminders to be the best they possibly can and enable them to face the inevitable and diverse challenges that looking after children can raise. Experience allows me to appreciate and understand the current Early Years Guidelines and provide extensive knowledge on how to achieve an inspiring and stimulating environment for the children in your care. I pride myself on being approachable and therefore am able to give honest advice on how to create a sustainable, fun, and high-quality learning environment to achieve the best outcomes for children.

In 2018 I became the #1 best selling author of ‘Are you ready for your inspection?’ and trainer of “Are you ready for your inspection” online programme for the whole staff team.

I am also the founder of the accredited #JustQuality Award which promotes a whole team approach for showing your settings journey.
