At Jigsaw Early Years Consultancy, we understand that the early years are the most crucial in a child’s development – and we’re here to support settings in delivering the very best start in life.
Founded by Vanessa, an experienced early years consultant with a deep-rooted passion for quality practice, our consultancy is built on years of hands-on experience and professional expertise.
Vanessa began her journey with an NNEB qualification and has since gained a wealth of further qualifications, including Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), and Levels 3, 4 and 5 in Teaching and Learning. She’s a qualified Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), which means she doesn’t just know what good practice looks like – she knows how to grow it in others.
Whether it’s guiding settings through compliance, enhancing leadership and staffing structures, or ensuring safeguarding is not just understood but embedded – Jigsaw Early Years Consultancy is here to help you put the pieces together.

Lucy Brewer
Head of Operations
Lucy is the driving force behind the scenes at Jigsaw, turning ideas into action by supporting the team and keeping everything running smoothly. With 19 years of experience in the early years sector and a strong background in day nurseries, she brings a deep understanding of how to add quality and meaningful impact in early years settings.
She holds a CACHE NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies, a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years, and an NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
Lucy’s blend of hands-on experience and academic knowledge ensures everything she does is rooted in best practice, with children’s wellbeing and development always at the heart. She keeps everything running smoothly at all times!
Anthony Lansdowne
Head of Support
Anthony is the tech-savvy anchor of the Jigsaw team, blending his preschool expertise with a knack for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. With a keen eye for design and problem-solving, he crafts provides top-notch support to customers.
When he’s not troubleshooting tech, Anthony brings our “Get Inspection Ready” podcast to life, editing episodes and gently reminding Vanessa when it’s time to hit record!
His strong foundation in early years shines through his qualifications: a Level 6 BA in Early Childhood Welfare and Education and a Level 3 Early Years Educator certification. Anthony’s unique mix of technical skill and early years knowledge ensures everything he does is both practical and impactful.
Louisa Devonport
Head of Training
Louisa is the backbone of Jigsaw’s training team, combining her deep expertise in early years education and assessment to elevate our professional development offerings. With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for quality, she ensures every training session is up to date, engaging, and practical!
Beyond content updates, Louisa expertly manages our training resources, keeping everything organised, accessible, and running like clockwork for our members.
Her strong academic foundation includes a BA in Education (Early Years) and a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. Louisa’s blend of knowledge and hands-on experience ensures everything she delivers is impactful.
