Promoting Gender and LGBTQ+ Inclusive Practice
Inclusivity and diversity are key aspects of a child’s learning journey and it is up to us as the educators to support them with this. It is important that we educate ourselves so that we can pass this knowledge onto others.
This workshop will be focused on helping children to be aware of the difference aspects of LGBTQ+ alongside helping them to encourage inclusivity within their play. Together we will look into the world of inclusivity and find ways that we can educate the children on these topics, whilst also helping them to develop their own inclusive views.

Schematic Play – A Dive into the child’s mind and how they learn.
Schemas are a huge part of a child’s life; they reflect how they want to experience the world and how they like to learn. Within this workshop, you will learn about Schemas, where they come from, how they develop, and what you can do to help support the children with this.
We will also look at how the environment can be used to stimulate the minds of the children and accommodate their schemas whilst linking this to the EYFS and the children’s learning.

The SENStory Approach – Putting inclusive play at the centre of navigating the SEND journey
We all know navigating the SEN System is one rife with challenges and roadblocks. But what if you had a simple blueprint from which to plan, deliver and evidence your day to day practice that supported inclusion, play based learning and SEND evidence gathering?
The SENStory Approach teaches you how to harness the power of play for the learning brain. You’ll walk away understanding how to tweak and adapt your planning using the 4 core areas of need that the EHCP and funding systems need you to evidence.
We’ll get hands on with some sensory motor play, building on your observation skills so you can adapt, evaluate and evidence play for children with SEND in your settings keeping inclusion at the forefront.

Provocations in Nature – Provoking Children’s Learning Through Play
Provocations can be a practitioner’s best friend when encouraging children to explore the world with open-ended activities!
In this workshop, we will explore provocations that will be set up through stations, relating to stories and books suitable for the differing ages of children.
The people attending will be able to explore and interact with the provocations that are set up.
We will carry these activities out with our children within the nurseries and bring our floor books to show the documentation and how we moved forward with ideas and the next steps.

Imaginative Play – A Journey into Make-Believe
Prepare for a journey into a strange world where nothing is as it seems and absolutely anything is possible. This practical workshop examines how imagination directly encourages brain development, communication, language, and emotional well-being.
We also look at how stimulating, imaginative environments can help create profound experiences and life-long benefits for children. The workshop gives delegates a wealth of ideas to take back to their settings to stimulate children’s imaginations. It also touches upon the neuroscience of imaginative play demonstrating that imagination is potentially one of the most important developmental processes in any child’s life and one of the greatest gifts they will ever receive.
